June TBR Pile

I have made myself a promise that I can not buy any books in the next month. I am quickly drowning in books (thankfully as I discussed earlier this week many of them are digital). In all honesty it is a slightly Lord of the Rings moment picture me as I crouch in my cave, aka house, and pet my books while muttering my precious. I own 5 bookshelves that contain only books I have not read and another two that are a mix of things I need to read and informational books I use as needed (figured out how to re-grout my floors last weekend). I am a fairly avid and eclectic reader picking up everything from sci-fi to memoirs and even the occasional romance novel. Of course #cockygate had me purchasing a slew of cocky books in the wee hours of the night. We won’t start discussing books I have seen and said of I need to read that soon; as the books I own and need to read is already over a thousand when you count ebooks. My own promise is I will try to get through as many books as possible and if it fails to catch my attention by page 50 I will be giving it to the local literary agency/bookstore. Don’t force something you don’t love. I honestly don’t believe my TBR pile will ever shrink by much but this way I have an excellent excuse to visit some of my favorite bookstores in July Florida
